Fendi: Menswear SS25

Next year Fendi will celebrate its 100th anniversary, and Silvia Venturini Fendi is feeling nostalgic. The menswear maven took the looming big bday as an opportunity to immerse herself in the house’s archive, reimagining a Selleria stitch technique first introduced by the Fendi family in 1925 to overlay a delightful check fabric in gorgeous powder-y pinks, sugary yellows and dusty greens.

There was collegiate charm threaded throughout. Venturini Fendi had created her own crest, “a fantasy coat of arms” that decorated caps, shirts and knits that scooped low on the neck. Models walked amongst a series of mirrored blocks which waltzed through the vast space, beaming reflections into the crowd. Elsewhere, there were schoolboy ties, paper thin knits that peeled away at the shoulder and handsome suiting peppered with youthful flair. Fendi’s birthday celebrations have got off to quite the stellar start.
