There’s that saying that goes “action speak louder than words,” which I’ve never fully agreed with – I’ve shared many choice words that were far more effective than actions, particularly when delivered after a few vodka sodas (who needs friends?). Fendi agree, not about the friends part, but about the words part, because this capsule collection for Dover Street Market is all about them, words like: YES – LOVE – FANTASTIC – TRUST – HOPE – THINK – FENDI, emblazoned across the collection. They are being called the Fendi Vocabulary, inspired by the lexicon of Ernest Hemingway.
As Silvia Venturini Fendi says, the are“very simple and common words that yet in their simplicity have a very important meaning that is going to be forever and that can help us in difficult moments. There are so many changes going on and things are moving faster and faster in the world, that is why I think that we have to evolve and look at the future with an optimistic attitude that can help us facing all these changes and challenges.”
The capsule includes a hat, scarf and t-shirt, all in a specific colour depending on the city, London’s being our most favourite: pink. The collection, along with other FW17 ready to wear pieces in a specially curated space, are available at Dover Street Market London Haymarket from now to July 9th.
