AT KOLLEKTIVE’S NEW ECCO KICKS
Kicking off 2024 the right way, At Kollektive has returned for a fourth season, with guest designers Peter Do, Kiko Kostadinov and Nina Christen releasing their sophomore offerings as part of At Kollektive’s Ecco leather-centric initiative. Focusing around the role of leather in the designer’s creative process, the contributors have each developed a shoe with their own personal spin. The Fanning sisters of Kiko Kostadinov have opted for a futuristic take, showcased in the Jemison shoe which boasts a cage-like sole, whilst Christen has presented a Boxing Boot constructed in a soft nappa leather alongside slimmer styles. Helmut Lang’s creative director, Peter Do, plumps for a monochromatic variety of loafers and sleek boots. Debuting at Paris Fashion Week, the offering will be available online and in stores. LANA DEL REY’S LOVESICK SKIMS’ VALENTINES CAMPAIGN
Everyone’s favourite sad girl, Lana Del Rey, has dropped down to her skivvies for none other than Kim Kardashian’s Skims. As part of the brand’s Valentines Day campaign – shot by Nadia Lee Cohen – the “Summertime Sadness” singer shape-shifts into the sweet treat as she sits pretty in a wonderfully gaudy chocolate box. Advertising the 29-piece limited edition collection of sleep sets, loungewear and lingerie, the offering is now available to shop from the Skims website and selected retailers. Shop here.

BURBERRY’S PRE-FALL 2024 COLLECTION
Burberry has just released its pre-fall collection, and it’s a good un’. Under the creative direction of Daniel Lee, the offering continues to draw on the heritage brand’s British roots, infusing differing variations on the label’s classic check into an assortment of trench coats, parkas and aviator jackets. High-neck sweaters and blanket scarves are adorned with the brand’s Equestrian Knight motif whilst collars of faux fur and chain decor give the offering a cool edge. Accompanied by a campaign featuring model and poet Kai Isaiah Jamal alongside Lennon Gallagher, Daniel Lee’s Burberry is truly a love letter to modern Britain.
FERNANDO JORGE’S GEM-TASTIC SOTHEBY’S EXHIBITION
Brazilian high jewellery designer Fernando Jorge has just debuted an exclusive 16-piece collection at London’s famed auction house Sotheby’s as part of an exhibition that will run until February 2. Combining materials from all over the world, the display showcases Jorge’s wide-ranging technical talents, using each piece to explore volume, texture, colour and the designer’s own Brazilian roots. London is the exhibition’s second stop after kicking off in New York, and it will move to Dubai and Zurich in the coming months. DIOR’S DREAMY DOCUMENTARY
J’adore Dior indeed! French director Matthieu Menu joins forces with the luxury house to create a spellbinding documentary entitled Inside the Dream: Secrets of Dior Perfumery, now available on Prime Video. Tracking the creation of the house’s staple J’adore fragrance by master perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, the fragrance-inspired flick involves a variety of creatives, celebs and experts including actress Charlize Theron and director Jean-Baptise Mondino. NICHOLAS DALEY’S AW24 HOMAGE TO JAMAICAN CULTURE
Virtuoso of blending community and craft Nicholas Daley has just released the lookbook for his AW24 collection, entitled Anansi Rhythm. Celebrating Jamaican folklore, specific springboards include the stories of resistance told by poet Louise Bennett and the role of Miss Lou’s (Louise Bennett-Coverley) bandana dress in the country’s history. Black, monochromatic looks are edited with colourful knitwear and accessorised with hand-knitted hats. Traditional Malian fabrics are used to inform jacquard prints, whilst classic Nicholas Daley pieces are given a fresh coat of paint, arriving in a host of new colourways. Collaborating with Clarks Originals on the footwear and Kimeze on the eyewear, Nicholas Daley has once again hit it out of the park. Discover more here.

KARTIK RESEARCH’S COLLABORATION WITH BARACUTA
Founded by Kartik Kumra in 2021, artisanal Delhi-based brand Kartik Research has become known for its take on contemporary India, infusing a distinct vintage and fantasy-like aesthetic into truly unique garments. For AW24, the focus is no different. Collaborating with British heritage brand Baracuta, the offering emphasises Indian craftsmanship with a particular focus on sustainable production. Over half the dyes in use are natural and the fabrics are woven using traditional looms. Embroidery and hand-block printing are what make the pieces so special and wonderfully representative of the cultural beauty Kartik Research represents. 10 out of 10. Discover more here.

40 YEARS OF MARC JACOBS MADNESS
Photography legend Juergen Teller has been round the block, but this season, he popped into the house of Marc Jacobs to celebrate the brand’s 40-year anniversary. Styled by i-D editor-in-chief and 10 contributor Alastair McKimm and starring friends and collaborators of the brand – Cindy Sherman, FKA Twigs and Dakota Fanning to name a few – the campaign was shot curtsied to Jacobs’ corporate office in Soho, New York. With the photographer and designer collaborating since 1998, the images are a delightful commemoration of everything that has made Jacobs’ eponymous label as iconic as it is. Classic Marc Jacobs silhouettes like the Kiki Boot, Sack Bag and Snapshot are all included. Discover more here.

VIVIENNE WESTWOOD’S NEW YEAR NUPTIALS
Vivienne Westwood has just released it’s latest bridal collection – surely Mr. Big would have to get out the car for this one?! Reflecting the relationship between traditional and contemporary social landscapes, the collection features 10 couture looks, all beautifully portrayed in a series of intimate greyscale portraits, as well as a short film, that explore their subject’s ideas on marriage and love. In tandem, a 2024 made-to-order Bridal offering has also been released, presenting 14 more classic looks in keeping with the brand’s established codes.
