It’s here! Issue 72 of 10 Magazine – DARE TO DREAM – arrives on newsstands March 25. This issue is dedicated to fashion’s most vivid dreamers and the designers that transport us to a place of fashion fantasy. Our first cover stars Juli Kocemba wearing Prada – shot by Elliot and Erick and styled by Ali Claire Marino.

The theme of this issue was born on what has come to be known in my universe as Japan Day. The Super Saturday of Paris Fashion Week is when, each season, Junya Watanabe, Noir Kei Ninomiya and Comme des Garçons all show the most inspirational collections of pure uncompromising creativity. For me, these designers share an uncompromising commitment to expressing their most daring fashion fantasies.

I anticipate this day with bated breath. I look forward to seeing inside the minds of those who dare to dream in such a pure and unfettered way.

These designers can bring something unique to the fashion conversation that has nothing to do with range plans and spreadsheets, but everything to do with pure freedom and creativity.

As I sat at Junya, the first show of my beloved Japan Day, when the music began and the first geometric sculptural piece made its way onto the catwalk, I questioned why every moment in fashiondom couldn’t give me the same emotion, the same euphoric sense of seeing into the thought process of such a creative mind. These designers illustrate that this extreme level of freedom and creativity is not just crucial but absolutely essential.

This gift of being able to fully realise one’s innermost dreams and create a beautiful, vivid story for each collection with this level of focus and clarity is something 10 needed to explore. So I set about commissioning the issue with all our brilliant creatives. My brief to them was: dare to dream. We, of course, had lengthy discussions about who inspired us, which creatives had a clear message and whose constant exploration and evolution energised us. As well as those whose creativity and vision were otherworldly, I also wanted to explore people who honed their craft by pushing themselves with new techniques and fabrications that I find increasingly stimulating, too.

We have tried to fold this fearless pursuit of dreams into every corner of the issue. We’ve included a 20-page couture feature, shot by backstage supremo Gavin Bond, a huge Schiaparelli profile and interview with Daniel Roseberry and another profile story with Rabanne, which under the stewardship of Julien Dossena has stayed steadfast and true in his pursuit of craft and modernity.

Of course, the issue had to include the holy trinity of Junya, Noir and Comme. We have interviewed all three, with Rei Kawakubo’s conversation with the brilliant Sarah Mower a standout for me. Prada has a showcase in the issue too, with the combined talents of Mrs Prada and Raf Simons giving a sense of limitless surprise and possibility to the brand. And finally, we have the beautiful sensuality of Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello (shot on actress Milena Smit), whose constant honing of his aesthetic is utterly compelling.

This issue is dedicated to those who dare to dream. It’s a place where a fantasy world can be a reality.
