McQueen Is Cool For The Summer

We’re finally starting to feel that summer warmth here in London, but at McQueen, creative director Sean McGirr is offering a swift reminder of cooler days to come with his AW26 pre-collection. A new lookbook shot by photographer Julien Martinez Leclerc is majoritively muted in its tone, with hues of silky red and beaten indigo clashing against washed variations on smoky grey, ochre and pale pink and blue. The collection captures McQueen’s time-honoured knack for subversive tailoring, captured best in a denim military jacket and two-piece suit with Plato’s Atlantis written all over it – a nod to one of the late Lee McQueen’s most revered collections. This is a wardrobe built for the city, possessing a punky edge illustrated through feathery embroideries, wishbone talismans that adorn shoes and bags and loosened harness detailing. Loro Piana Turns Up The Heat

When the city heat gets a bit much, it means it’s time to set sail for quieter, sunsoaked destinations – and Loro Piana provides the perfect wardrobe for the transition with its new Resort 2026 collection. The house’s savoir-faire is on full display through its signature clean lines which sit nonchalantly on the body in blues, reds and oranges, punctuated with hints of sand, coral and crisp white tones. Linen sits at the heart of the collection as the Loro Piana Icons find new life in the material: the Traveller jacket turns into a waistcoat, the Spagna jacket into a vest. Made for lounging at the seaside, marine inspirations manifest in shell prints and aquamarine colours whilst the Mediterranean makes its mark through an impressionist edit of the La Piscina motif. The collection is presented in a Palm Springs-based campaign shot by photographer Annemarieke Van Drimmelen, acting as the ideal invitation to bathe in the sun’s gentle light (wearing Loro Piana, of course). Kiko Kostadinov Keeps It In The Family For SS26 Accessories Campaign

Kiko Kostadinov has once again turned to Tokyo-based artist and long-term collaborator Kohei Kawatani to photograph it’s utilitarian array of accessories, this time from the brand’s SS26 collection. Shot at Kawatani’s studio on the outskirts of the Japanese capital, the images evoke the distinctive visual language of the Shōwa era (think demure interiors and soft lighting) to create a sweet juxtaposition of nostalgia and tactility. Bags are hung over the kitchen sink, flip flops inhibit one another and brogue-like sneakers clamber walls in an unusual environment that extends the exploration of form seen in both the mens and womens collections. Each piece in the collection – which is available now in Kiko Kostadinov stores, select retailers and online – fits into Kawatani’s images like a glove. This is a crack team of creatives that will stand the test of time. Shop the collection hereJH

Dior Beauty Bottles Up Monsieur Dior’s Personal Eden

Step into the gardens of the Château de La Colle Noire – Christian Dior’s haven in the Grasse countryside –  with the latest addition to Dior Beauty’s La Collection Privée, Dior Paradise. Crafted by perfume creation director Francis Kurkdjian, the new fragrance is a celebration of Dior’s beloved Southern Provence, where the legendary designer – who famously had green thumbs – crafted his bucolic masterpiece. Dior Paradise is – quite unusually for a perfume – led by a bitter almond scent, which is paired with a citrus fruit top and completed by sweet tonka bean. “I can’t help but imagine him at his bedroom window late in winter, eagerly awaiting the profuse and miraculous blossoming that promises true happiness and the renewal of nature,” Kurkdjian says. Luckily, you don’t have to wait long like Monsieur Dior. Dior Paradise will be available from June. Find out more here. JH

Guess USA And August Barron Join Forces

Act two, scene one: August Barron and Guess USA team up for a second time to create a capsule wardrobe of functional glamour. Debuted during Guess USA’s SS26 launch event at its Melrose store in Los Angeles, the collaboration builds on ideas from the brand’s creative director Nicolai Marciano and August Barron founders Benjamin Barron and Bror August Vestbø. Following an initial partnership for SS25, this next chapter reworks Guess USA’s signature denim and archival references through the August Barron lens, merging reconstructed silhouettes with a more lived-in ease. Among denim jackets, sculptural skirts with signature Guess USA hardware and leather bags, the collection is informed by a distinct tone of Americana, but with a distorted edge. Produced in Los Angeles, the pieces combine cotton denim with premium leather, balancing polish with practicality. Select pieces from the collaboration are available exclusively at the Guess USA’s Melrose store. Discover more here. Lillie Elston

Miu Miu Celebrates Ginza Reopening with an Exclusive Jazz Club Night

Martinis in hand, speakers blaring – on May 13 in Tokyo, Miu Miu opened the doors to an exclusive Jazz Club event celebrating the reopening of its Ginza store. Spanning three floors, the newly redesigned space pairs pale blue carpeting with solid oak fixtures, creating a shopping environment that feels both polished and inviting. Drawing inspiration from Japanese jazz culture and the quiet intimacy of the Japanese tea-drinking shop called a kissaten, Miu Miu curated a one-night-only programme centred on listening, experimentation and cultural exchange. The evening began with a cocktail reception at the revamped store before unfolding across Tokyo’s largest dance space Dance Hall Shinseiki and Tokyo Kinema Club. A focus on women’s role in shaping modern jazz anchored the night, with performances from Grammy-winning pianist and composer Hiromi, Tokyo-based multi-instrumentalist Lily, and trumpeter, singer-songwriter and producer Reiya Terakubo. The evening closed with an afterparty and headline performance from British singer-songwriter Arlo Parks. Part cultural happening, part very chic night out, Miu Miu knows exactly how to host a party. 16Arlington Goes Independent With Whimsical New Venture

16Arlington is stepping out on its own with Bambola, a new capsule collection marking the first release sold exclusively through the London label’s own platforms. High summer in every sense, Bambola plays with powdered pinks and washed pastels, layered with dip-dyed feather trims, delicate satin lace and sun-faded sequins. Photographed by Dale Cutts and styled by Vanessa Reid, the accompanying campaign delivers the kind of confident glamour synonymous with 16Arlington. Models pose alongside an oceanic candelabra commissioned from craftswoman Sylvie Macmillan, composed of iridescent shells and tiger sea urchin spikes – a sweet-meets-eccentric detail that neatly captures the spirit of the collection. Bambola is available now exclusively via 16Arlington’s website. Shop here. JH

The Loewe Foundation Announce Artist Residency

A big partnership indeed – the Loewe Foundation have teamed up with La Residencia, A Belmond Hotel, Mallorca to inaugurate their annual residency program, dubbed Artists in Residencia. The aim? To bring together the most prominent contemporary artists. This year, the three winners of the Loewe Craft Prize – Kaori Juzu, Deirdre McLoughlin and Dahye Jeong will join the program to create new works of art inspired by the picturesque landscapes of the Sierra de Tramuntana, Spain.
