These Are The Best Dressed Stars At The 97th Annual Oscars

Last night, Hollywood’s brightest stars descended upon Los Angeles for the 97th annual Academy Awards, the most glamorous night in film. The Dolby Theatre set the stage as comedian Conan O’Brien made his Oscars hosting debut, while electrifying performances from Blackpink’s Lisa, Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Doja Cat and Raye captivated a global audience. From jaw-dropping couture to boundary-pushing fashion moments, the industry’s elite turned the red carpet into a runway. Here, we’ve selected the most unforgettable looks from an evening brimming with star power and style.

Channelling Old Hollywood glamour, Emma Stone sported a glimmering Louis Vuitton gown to present the Best Actress Award to Anora starlet Mikey Madison who wore a knockout black and rose Dior number bedecked with a cutesy bow and paired with gorgeous Tiffany & Co. gems. Following suit with a sheer nude Dior Haute Couture tulle dress adorned with pearl embellishments, and paired with Chopard diamonds, Rachel Zegler stepped out looking like the picture of pure elegance. 11-year Oscar veteran Lupita Nyong’o graced the red carpet in a custom Chanel gown adorned with over 22,000 pearls.

Does Cynthia Erivo ever miss? We think not, and her sculptural Louis Vuitton gown proved it. With its dramatic, velvet silhouette, intricate embellishments and flawless tailoring, she once again delivered a red carpet moment worthy of the Oscars stage – and Elphaba. Her Wicked co-star Ariana Grande meanwhile, donned another sculptural number – a full-Glinda custom Schiaparelli haute couture gown, designed by Daniel Roseberry. The strapless blush pink dress featured over 190,000 crystal sequins, rhinestones and cut beads, creating a mesmerising effect and was styled with exquisite De Beers jewels that shone under the flashing cameras.

Sporting Giorgio Armani Privé, Best Actress nominee Demi Moore dazzled viewers. The high-shine, glittering dress featured a plunging neckline, gathered hip detail and a puddling train, epitomised elegance and sophistication on the red carpet.

Elle Fanning stepped out in a simple Givenchy gown that radiated understated elegance. The soft, flowing silhouette was elevated by intricate detailing and a delicate, ethereal sheen, allowing her natural beauty to shine. With minimal accessories and a fresh, glowing makeup look, Fanning proved that sometimes less truly is more on the Oscars red carpet.

Stepping out in a rhinestoned Ralph Lauren gown, Selena Gomez effortlessly embodied chic elegance, proving, on the other hand, that sometimes more is more with a figure-hugging silhouette and lavish accessories. Later, Miley Cyrus rocked a custom all-black McQueen gown with a high neck and glittering accents, matching her bold persona with tousled hair, a smoky eye and bleached eyebrows. Lily Rose Depp also wore all-black, exuding modern sophistication in her lacy Chanel dress, its plunging neckline perfectly paired with glowing skin and a slicked-back hairstyle. Tapping into her usual feline energy, Doja Cat pushed fashion boundaries in a sculptural Giorgio Armani creation, complete with metallic cheetah details, fierce makeup and a bold attitude.

Then, came Halle Berry who radiated Hollywood royalty in a mirror Christian Siriano gown and lavish Pomellato jewels, and Lisa from BlackPink stunned in a tailored MarkGong tuxedo dress, keeping it minimal yet striking with sharp features and dewy makeup. Margaret Qualley brought old Hollywood glamour to life in a backless velvet Chanel gown, paired with a dramatic up-do for a timeless, sophisticated look. Zoe Saldana, who won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Rita Mora Castro in the film Emilia Pérez, commanded attention in a metallic Saint Laurent gown and Cartier necklace, accentuating her figure with bold smokey eyes and statement earrings for an unforgettable presence.

For the boys, Timothée Chalamet turned heads in a yellow Givenchy ensemble that added a vibrant touch to the evening while Colman Domingo made a bold statement in a red and black Valentino suit, exemplifying modern elegance. Andrew Garfield on the other hand, opted for a brown-toned outfit, combining classic elements with contemporary aesthetics. Best Actor recipient and The Brutalist star Adrien Brody donned a custom Giorgio Armani tuxedo, featuring a midnight blue one-button peak lapel trimmed in satin, paired with a white dress shirt and black bow tie while Kit Conner sported a sleek suit designed by Italian label Giuliva Heritage with a Boucheron brooch and Tag Heuer timepiece.

From sleek sophistication to boundary-pushing fashion, the Oscars red carpet was a show-stopping celebration of style. We can’t wait for the next one.
