POLISH MEETS PICNIC IN LOUIS VUITTON’S CAPSULE MENSWEAR COLLECTION

For Louis Vuitton’s capsule AW27 menswear collection, Pharrell Williams has looked to the dewy, foliage-filled English countryside to anchor this new chapter. Expanding on the creative director’s ethos of harmony between decorum and functionality, the weatherproof attire offers refined tailoring against a rural backdrop. The smart, British sensibility finds its place through pieces with versatility at their heart. Natural hues echo the bucolic scenery, whilst relaxed silhouettes, sharp-edged flannels and quilted Damier cotton – similar to quintessential picnic blanket patchwork – give it that distinct Pharrell edge. For your next outdoor getaway, pair a Monogram jacquard shirt with glossy, olive green patent leather and oh-so-delicious chocolate brown footwear, just like the Brits. Out this September, it’s set to be a study in how polish meets picnic. Discover more of Pharrell’s menswear vision here. Sheraz Zingraff

SARABANDE’S SUMMER SHOW PUTS DESIRE ON DISPLAY

Fresh from a year-long residency of pushing their practice, Sarabande’s newest artists are giving London’s cultural aficionados a glimpse into what they’ve been cooking up. The charitable foundation, founded by Lee McQueen as a creative incubator to nurture emerging artists, presents its summer showcase, Desire, packing a multidisciplinary kick of colour and form. Opening today and running until September 5, the exhibition is split into two groups and spotlights the craft of 20 artists, stretching painting, sculpture, textiles, and photography, each exploring themes of memory, intimacy and transformation. Marvel at the fantasy of Jingyi Li’s experimentation with paradise and desire in lace, or meditate on the body as a site of vulnerability and belief in Phoebe Corker-Marin’s shifting sculptures. Taking place at Sarabande’s home on Hertford Road, you can also catch ceramicist Jane Preston delving into the reciprocal relationship between humanity and nature or Rizza Zahid’s translation of South Asian diasporic myths into speculative urban worlds. With a meaty roster of talent, Desire is your chance to discover names sure to be the buzz of the gallery circuit. Learn more here. SZ

SELASI DEALS OUT NEW PLAYING CARDS

Launching the Selasi Playing Cards alongside the sixth issue of eponymous magazine Selasi Stories, McKenzie is transforming simple, everyday objects into something cherished. Beautifully illustrated by Moya Garrison-Msingwana and designed by Shawn Sawyers, the new limited-edition cards further demonstrate McKenzie’s desire to build a world where physical connection and tangible media remain are at the heart. To celebrate the launch, an evening supported by Axel Arigato and Newspaper Club invited guests to gather around and play a game of cards, embracing playfulness and shared moments. ASICS SPORTSTYLE SERVES UP A TABLE TENNIS COLLAB WITH LTTT

Asics Sportstyle is serving up big things with its Little Tokyo Table Tennis (or LTTT, to be brief) collab. Finding its unlikely muse in ping pong, the brand teamed up with the Los Angeles collective for a reworked Gel-Resolution 5, taking a shoe built for on-court stability and running it through LTTT’s playful, irreverent lens. Expect an elongated translucent Asics Stripe, embroidered Kanji (graphic Chinese lettering), illustrated insoles, interchangeable laces and transparent overlays that lay the shoe’s construction bare. You can sport the trainer in two colourways – a dual-tone green with a clear gradient heel cage, and a white with red detailing on a gum sole. The accompanying campaign trails friends from LTTT’s flagship in LA across different community clubs in the district, all camaraderie and culture. Available now, catch them before they bounce here. ZENDAYA IS THE NEW FACE OF PRADA BEAUTY’S PARADOXE FRAGRANCE

Zendaya has been named the global ambassador for Prada Beauty’s Paradoxe fragrance. It was announced this afternoon that the star – who is currently dominating the silver screen as Athena in The Odyssey and MJ in Spider-Man Brand New Day – would be the new face of the scent via a campaign posted to Prada’s Instagram. Directed by the Academy Award-winning Barry Jenkins, the appointment coincides with the introduction of Prada Paradoxe’s newest iteration – the Sweet Chemistry Eau de Parfum.

“I love how Paradoxe celebrates complexity, capturing both strength and vulnerability without trying to frame or define someone,” says Zendaya on the announcement. “For me, the fragrances we choose are a reflection of how we move through the world. Joining the brand felt like a completely natural extension of that mindset, especially since Paradoxe was already a personal favourite that I wore long before I was approached.” Prada Paradoxe Sweet Chemistry will be released in the UK on August 26. THE BFC’S ‘FASHION BRITAIN’ IS MAKING THE INDUSTRY LESS LONDON CENTRIC

British Fashion is expanding beyond London. Enter ‘Fashion Britain’ – a new nationwide initiative launched by the British Fashion Council, designed to create opportunity right across the country. The roll-out begins this September in six cities with some serious fashion talent, from Bristol to Edinburgh. Each city gets its own curated line-up of events, designer talks, collaborations and retail moments. Shaped around what makes that place distinct, the programme marks the next stage in the BFC’s plan to support and sustain the UK fashion industry and the ecosystem within it. Talia Panayi

BRUNELLO CUCINELLI’S AI PLATFORM JUST LANDED A SALESFORCE BACKER

The king of cashmere is also, it turns out, designing the future of the web. Brunello Cucinelli has secured an investment from Salesforce for Callimacus, the AI platform born in 2024, out of his Solomei research centre – a deal set to expand its engineering and push it across Europe and North America. The premise is genuinely radical: a site with no pages, menus or fixed paths. Instead it uses a cluster of AI agents to read each visitor’s intent and build a bespoke experience on the spot. It’s named after the ancient scholar who catalogued the Library of Alexandria – fitting for a designer who talks about technology in the language of philosophers. Humanist luxury, now powered with a Silicon Valley engine. Discover more here. TP
