Fabiana Filippi: Ready-To-Wear SS23

Fabiana Filippi was focused on form this season. For SS23, she served up a structurally sound collection inspired by geometry in its most pure form: the triangle. The result was this: in the historic garden in the heart of Quadrilatero where Filippi’s extravagant tableau vivant presentation took place, shape and proportion held the reins. Surrounded by the perfection of neoclassical architecture and 3D geometric sculptures, 100 girls appeared, charged by Filippa’s signature, sartorially sophisticated flare.

Relaxed in spirit, Filippi forecasted her finest organic fabrics into expert tailoring, three dimensional knits and bermuda shorts. Each luxe look was fashioned with an effervescent palette that mimicked organic hues; from fuschia and seaweed green to mimosa, Filippa’s garms looked mirrored the light that is refracted through a pyramidal prism.

Elsewhere, denim trousers came crafted in classical five-pocket styles while mini-skirts, jackets and dresses with frayed profiles made delightful new additions to the Filippi denim-depot. The fluid frocks were designed for versatility and would be perfect for an Italian seaside holiday or a spirited city night – either way, you would look utterly refined.

Iridescent windbreakers with matching sporty shorts were added to the meticulous mix too, boasting touchable texture that felt both fresh and formidable, and bags were proposed in maxi and mini volumes, casually slung off models arms – and hopefully slung off ours soon, too.
