Ten Loves: Tom Ford Stamped Crocodile Leather Selen Pumps

Some shoes are made for walking. The ones Haider Ackermann makes for Tom Ford’s are made for slinking across a dimly lit, smoky room. After all, seduction is the whole business of this brand, and Ackermann, who assumed the role of creative director in 2024, prefers his sensuality understated: a bare ankle here, a glimpse of skin there. For these stamped crocodile leather Selen pumps, introduced for AW26, sexiness starts at floor level.

The silhouette is sharp. The toes are long and pointed and its heel is slender and ultra-high. The sides have been stripped away, the vamp is cut low and the straps criss-cross the ankle, showing just enough toe cleavage to feel a little bit naughty. The material is an extension of this allure: glossy black lambskin imprinted so it emulates a slick crocodile skin.

As for the campaign, it casts people of every age and from all walks of life, united, the house says, by “past flirtations with debauchery” and now standing tall, unfiltered and defiant. We’ll definitely take a pair – and maybe a taxi.
