The Loubi Show is about to start… For the unveiling of his AW22 collection, Christian Louboutin took over L’Espace Niemeyer in Paris for an afternoon of fancy footwork. “Dance has always been a source of inspirations to me,” said the footwear maven, who actually was once an intern at Les Follies Bergeres in Paris, where he helped “the dancers with their everyday life. I wanted to design shoes for them.”

For the performance, nine dancers emerged from transparent silver curtains, with a play of light pointing the audience’s focus on the red bottomed stilettos and platforms they pranced in. This season’s selection included the Hot Chick Sling, a sculptural heel which is new to the Louboutin family, as well as Loubi Mystery, a new murder mystery-inspired capsule created alongside Parisian artist Yaz Bukey.

Elsewhere, standouts from the Greekaba capsule – a collection inspired by Athens and the Cyclades islands – were made alongside Greek artist Konstantin Kakanias, including Carasky bags and Cycladissimo wedges. Here we select 10 of the collection’s highlights.
