McQueen’s New Look

Alexander McQueen’s fresh-faced creative director Seán McGirr has just released the first anticipated glimpse of his vision for the beloved British brand. Following in the footsteps of Lee McQueen’s successor, Sarah Burton, who held the creative directorship for 13 years, the Dublin-born designer has kicked off his tenure with a campaign featuring long-term friends of the label, models Debra Shaw and Frankie Rayder. Donning chrome, skeleton masks backdropped by a sun-dappled pine forest, the images also feature a refreshed version of the McQueen logo. Saint Laurent Makes Us Swoon

But don’t take it from us, take it from its recently released Valentines-inspired campaign entitled Heart of Gold, curated by creative director Anthony Vaccarello. Featuring an assortment of lovey-dovey products, including a collab with arcade producers Neo Legend on a game-inspired cocktail table, as well as brand classics like the Icari maxi bag and Gaby mini vanity, the release proves that love is indeed in the air. Machine-A and Reebok Celebrate Queer Culture

High-end streetwear boutique Machine-A has joined forces with sports giant Reebok for a collection that places queer love centre stage. Curated by London-based designer Steven Ma, the offering draws on a roster of queer talent to elevate its message, featuring prominent LGBQTAI+ figures, poet Kai Isaiah Jamal and makeup artist Ali Baebie, in a campaign shot by rising photography talent Leslie Zhang. Positioning garments to symbolise the fluidity of self-expression, silhouettes include unisex designs like leather jackets and boxing shorts. A love letter to the queer community, cop yours here. BK

London Fashion Week Gets The Techy Treatment

Digital fashion is coming to London in full force, with the launch of creative innovator Sam J and artist Oona’s clothing line, AnonBinaire. Debuting in style last night through a fantastical fusion of performance art and virtual fashion, the collection, entitled Purity Dolls, aimed to criticise society’s commodification of the female body. Featuring a series of off-the-wall garments, the showcase encouraged attendees to rip away the dollar bills that had been used to decorate pieces, as a symbol of taking back ownership. A wondrous display of fashion’s technology-driven fashion, it’s was a welcome addition to the Fashion Week calendar. BK 

Louis Vuitton Celebrates Nicolas Ghesquière With New Video Series

Fans of Nicolas Ghesquière, you’re in for a right treat – Louis Vuitton’s exclusive series with YouTube, which delves into the artistic director’s ten-year tenure at the French house, dropped on Tuesday. At 10 minutes per episode, the project sees Ghesquière sitting across from an assortment of friends and collaborators as they have a good old chin wag about film, music and, of course, fashion. The first instalment kicked off with actress and brand ambassador Emma Stone as the designer’s conversation partner, with other famous faces like Jennifer Connelly set to appear in the episodes to come – now that’s movie magic. Tara St Hill And Dover Street Market Join Forces

Tara St Hill, stylist, and darling member of the 10 family, is situated at the centre of newly released fashion photobook Tara, produced by the elite Dover Street Market bookseller Idea. Shot in a short 24 hours, London based photographer Zoë Law captures strikingly raw imagery that follows a day in Tara’s life. Set in the New Age traveller community site she lived in during the mid-2000’s, candid monochromatic images of the style-star comfortably ‘existing’ in and around what she calls home, are enough to make anyone want to pull this photobook straight off the shelf. Izzy Heywood

Guess USA Drops AW24 Lookbook

All-American brand Guess USA has just launched their luscious lookbook for AW24 and it’s a good ‘un. Photographed by Californian multi-hyphenate Eli Russel Linnetz and under the design direction of Nicolai Marciano, the release continues to build on the brand’s established codes. Elevating a Western American vibe through its innovative use of denim washes and prints, the offering also features a range of experimental silhouettes which prove the label is only pushing forward.
