Kendrick Lamar Gets The Chanel Treatment

Grammy and Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar is Chanel’s latest brand ambassador. A friend of the house since 2023 when he arrived at the Met Gala donning a Karl Lagerfeld-inspired custom couture look, Lamar’s relationship with the French house later deepened when in January 2024 he took on creative role for Chanel’s couture show and accompanying short film dubbed ‘The Button’. Now, as the ’Not Like Us’ rapper steps into fashion, all eyes are on Chanel. Rolling out via an SS25 eyewear campaign shot by Karim Sadli, Lamar looks suave in a crystal-adorned set of sunnies.

Sourced from Tanzania’s Umba Valley, each sapphire is meticulously handpicked by the women who mine them. These colour-shifting gems, with their chameleon-like glow, are held in the Maison’s signature Serti sur Vide setting, where they seem to float, weightless and ethereal. Among the 16 one-of-a-kind creations, six stand alone as true rarities, grounded in traceable origins, female craftsmanship and a little Repossi magic.

Dsquared2 turn up the heat with Summer Lovers capsule

Dsquared2 slips into something sultrier for summer with Summer Lovers, a capsule collection made for glistening skin, salty kisses and days that blur into balmy nights. Inspired by the sun-drenched 1982 film of the same name, we see the brand reimagine resort classics through an ‘80s Hollywood lens. Picture faded denim cut-offs, clingy crochet maxis, embroidered terry polos, postcard prints and tan-line-baring swimwear. Breezy shirting and bucket hats round out a wardrobe built for boat rides, beachside flings and everything in between.

Golden hardware gathers at the shoulder like a jewelled cuff, adding structure to the softness, while the colour palette bursts with the bright intensity of a midsummer fever dream: yolk yellow, ombré lagoon, chalky nude and inky black.
