SANTA MARIA NOVELLA’S NEWEST SCENTS

After the success of the I Giardini Medicei collection, Florentine perfume house Santa Maria Novella introduces two new Eau de Parfums: Quercia and Acqua.

I Giardini Medicei is an olfactory tribute to the historic, lush gardens of the Medicean villas, and the new scents continue this theme. Transporting noses to the enchanting Villa di Castello, Quercia was created as an homage to the imposing oak tree that dominates the façade of the villa. Evoking the majesty of the grand oak tree, Quercia has a long-lasting woody scent that opens with notes of lavender, has a heart of zesty vetiver and sensual patchouli and a grounding oak wood base.

Acqua, on the other hand, is perfect for lovers of a more delicate and fresher fragrance. Inspired by the water fountains of the Medicean villas, this Eau de Parfum symbolises elegance, refinement and the vitality of running water. With bright, light top notes that dance alongside surprising undertones of pear, effortlessly synthesising into a floral heart, it’s summer’s perfect scent. The fun doesn’t stop there however, as the freesia and lotus flower notes ascend to the delicate musk in the base, offering an uplifting and enveloping aroma. Available in 50ml or 100ml flacons, shop the new scents in store now or online at smnovella.com in September. YC

Palace’s Cosy AW24 Lookbook

Autumn might be slowly slithering its way around the corner, but Palace Skateboards is prepared. Releasing its AW24 lookbook, lensed by Dominic Marley, at the beginning of the month, it  has set the tone for a cosy skater-boy season.

Teasing the first image from the lookbook on its Instagram with the caption “Autumn 24”, it unveiled a furry brown and cream trucker jacket styled with a gold teddy bear necklace and a black T-shirt that would be great for a walk through the park with the lads. The faux fur trucker cap would suit the look perfectly and have you skating your way to warmth, no matter the weather.

Another standout piece is a ’90s-inspired blue mohair blend jumper adorned with a red heart on the chest and three stars punctuated on the sleeves – it’s sure to steal the hearts of skater boys everywhere. There’s also a white and red baseball jersey that screams Americana. If you’re after a too-cool-for-school kind of wardrobe this autumn, make sure Palace is on your shopping list. YC

Embracing the subcultural significance of both brands, the release revolves around the M3600 and the M6000 polos with a duo of bold graphics plastered across their backs. Saddle Up, Perfumer H Is Launching An Equestrian Winter Scent

Tapping into its softer side, London-based label Perfumer H is gearing up to launch Saddle, a new eau de parfum for the cold season that joins in its renowned amber family. Inspired by equestrianism, Saddle captures the familiar scent of worn, aged leather against the skin, in turn evoking warmth and the essence of autumn. With hints of smoke, top notes of Italian bergamot and petitgrain, Saddle is enriched with jasmine, orange flower absolute, aldehydes, clove, Indonesian patchouli and, of course, amber, resulting in an addicting musky scent you’ll want to wear day in, day out.

Born from founder Lyn Harris’s collaboration with Cameron Smith, the creative director of Los Angeles-based antiques store Galerie Half who helped in the formulation process after commissioning Harris to replicate the smell of saddle soap for the home, Saddle is Harris’ personal exploration of riding aromas.

Elevate your everyday with the unconventional aroma of Perfume H’s Saddle as soon as it hits stores on September 5. Annabel Antoniou

Louis Vuitton Unveils ‘Fall‘, A 2025 Capsule Collection

Louis Vuitton has just launched its highly anticipated 2025 men’s capsule collection, a city-to-seaside offering entitled Fall. Founded in the dandyism of Pharrell William’s vision for the house, the collection focuses on “macro versus micro visions of colour, construction and surface decoration”, showcasing the creative directors’ idea of trans-seasonal dressing. The collection also pays homage to the late Park Seo-Bo’s Estate by featuring the South Korean painter’s impactful graphic lines across ready-to-wear, leather goods and shoes – echoing the bag he created for the house’s 2019 edition of the Artycapucines project. Key pieces include a black single-breasted cashmere overcoat, a mocha fleece track jacket, blousons, bombers and flared trousers. A testament to pushing the boundaries of modern menswear, transformational elements fuse together to pen a narrative of innovation blended with artistic collaboration. The collection is set to hit the shelves in September, so keep your eyes peeled. AA
