HTOWN HEADS TO ONE HUNDRED SHOREDITCH HOTEL

The retail space at One Hundred Shoreditch Hotel just jumped on the train to Htown and it’s hotter, younger and cooler than ever before. From 14 March, Htown Store will transform the space from an emerging designer shopping hub to an inclusive space, bridging the gap between community, fashion and charity by not only championing burgeoning talent on a 360° scale, but also hosting regular workshops and events. With this semi-permanent retail residency, the aim is to provide industry access to youngins, all at the Hotel’s roof top bar and terrace. All aboard! 

THE LORO PIANA BALE BAG 

Loro Piana’s new smooth-grain or tumbled finish calfskin leather Bale Bag is inspired by the story of the Loro Piana family which begins in the late 1970s. At that time, the menage set off in search of high-quality raw materials, and in the harsh highlands of Mongolia they discovered a fine cashmere which was delivered by nomadic shepherds in bales before being stored in the company’s spinning mill. “THIN AIR” AT BEAMS 

Post-industrial nightlife warehouse Beams, London’s new centre for new culture, just pulled back the curtain on its highly anticipated and transformative immersive exhibition, Thin Air. A ground-breaking display of experiments in art and technology traversing the boundaries of light, sound and space, it brings together works by seven global contemporary artists and collectives – *Gasps*. JAMES BARNOR’S FEATURE EXHIBITION AT SAINT LAURENT RIVE DROITE 

Courtesy of Galerie Clémentine de La Féronnière, James Barnor’s black and white photographs are now on display within Saint Laurent Rive Droite stores in Paris and Los Angeles. Invited to YSL by Anthony Vaccarello, the 93-year-old Ghanaian photographer immortalised a nation at the time of its independence, capturing portraits of both the anonymous and the famous who were, either way, markers of a vibrant and exciting Afro-modernism. Puma and Palomo Spain and back in cahoots with their second collaborative collection and it’s a lively, free-spirited exploration of retro surf culture. DEVON AOKI IN ACNE STUDIOS SS23 

Against a romantic backdrop of soft pink silk sheets, cult model Devon Aoki becomes the face of Acne Studios’ SS23 campaign. Clutching a metallic rose, Aoki poses for Dutch visual artist and photographer Carlijn Jacobs who offers a warped take on the notion of love. In a transparent tulle gown with a giant deconstructed bow, under layers of red and white gingham, or in a ruched, asymmetric gown, she emits an aura of mystery, becoming at once, a delicate and dangerous muse dressed in hero looks from the collection. GUESS ORIGINALS’ REALTREE LINK-UP

Paying homage to American heritage workwear, Guess Originals taps Realtree for an all-American capsule collection built from authentic canvas fabrics and Realtree prints. THE ART OF FILA CAMPAIGN

Introducing The Art of Fila, the latest campaign from the sportswear giant. It explores the “day in the life” of three emerging UK artists, revealing what it means to be a creative in this country today. Glaswegian artist, Trackie McLeod recites a self-penned poem while London-based artists Winnie Hall and Daniel David Freeman talk through their day-to-day inspirations and paint using their respective mediums on canvas or glass. JOHN PAUL GAULTIER’S TWISTED TAPPING OF Y/PROJECT

Get your head in a twist with the new Jean Paul Gaultier and Y/Project team up, an illusory, print-based collection. The second co-developed collection from the high-fashion icons, it features mesh dresses, tank tops, turtle necks, skirts maxi and mini, all elevated by eccentric knit details.
