Wales Bonner and MoMA’s evocative new artist’s book
Coffee table book aficionados are in for a treat with the new collaboration between Wales Bonner and MoMA, who have converged to create an artist’s book entitled Dream in the Rhythm – Visions of Sound and Spirit. 10 Corso Como Supports Next Gen at CSM
Milan’s radical union of commerce and culture, 10 Corso Como is partnering with the prestigious Central Saint Martins Ma Fashion course to create a genderless capsule collection, with the intention of exhibiting and selling one brilliant student’s designs. In early March, 40 students were briefed on the project by 10 Corso Como’s Ceo Gianluca Borghi, and in May five finalists alongside one winner will be selected by a jury of international industry experts. Over the years, 10 Corso Como’s unique approach to retail has attracted the likes of fashion’s most innovative designers and artists, and what better way to support new creatives than to tap one of the best powerhouses for young talent. Preconceived under the vision of Pieter Mulier, Alaïa’s New Bond Street flagship boutique has just unveiled an updated blend of the house’s latest creations and a curated selection of artwork from the eponymous house’s creative director himself, in the freshly refurbished space. By highlighting some of his favourite artists – notably Sterling Ruby, Sarah Lucas, Thomas Ruff and Steven Shearer – Mulier invites us into his beautifully refined Alaïa.

Palace X Gap Sick Skating Collab
Gap, an icon of American preppy style, is partnering with London-based skate label Palace to create a perfectly gnarly streetwear collection endorsed by the sportiest of them all, Melanie C of the Spice Girls.
The 55-piece ‘90s-inspired collection marks Palace’s first foray into kids’ products, and includes a bit of everything for all age-ranges with varsity-style jackets, colourfully striped rugby shirts, matching tracksuit sets and three exclusive logo skate decks. Alongside the collaboration is a short film shot by Jim Goldberg and Will Robson-Scott, that recreates a day in the life of young newbies throughout San Francisco. With a little help from singer-songwriter Mel C (who plays a young skater’s mom), Palace endorsed shredders and board-riding legends Karl Watson, Elissa Steamer and Tommy Guerrero, these kids are shown the gnarly ways. Kiko Kostadinov Innovative Toyko Location
Kiko Kostadinov has just opened its first permanent store and its located in the heart of Tokyo’s Shibuya District. The brands first foray into the brick-and-mortar business is separated into two sections, the first being a standard retail shop, designed by Yusuke Seki and his Japan-based design team, and the second being an innovative immersive art installation.
For the Tokyo store’s very first installation, the London-based brand has tapped American artist and filmmaker Ryan Trecartin to create a fully visual series sectioned into two parts. Viewers will have the opportunity to engage with phase one of the installation while shopping the store, as Trecartin continues to work with Japanese artisans on the construction of the second phase, a permanent installation set to be unveiled in the summer.
