Twas the week before Christmas, when all through Ten Towers, not an editor was stirring, for a whole eight hours. The writers were nestled all snug at their desks, while visions of archive McQueen, Tiffany and Cartier danced in their heads… This Christmas, team Ten have their sights set high, with the ultimate wish list for all you fashion heads to dribble over. Santa, can you hear us, the below is what we want this year!

I’m wishing for the iconic Vivienne Westwood Crystal Horn Tiara for Christmas this year. As seen for the first time on the AW05 runway and later, in the hair of the great Dame, with these devilish adornments I’ll certainly make it on the naughty list.

This Christmas, I’m asking Mr Claus for a Bird on a Rock brooch created by Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co. It’s so whimsical. A 1965 Shlumberger original would be ideal, but I’ll settle for a 2024 version as long as the bird is perched on a huge, coloured stone. Maybe I’ll have a flock of them! I have been a good girl!

Please Santa can I have Helmut Lang. It’s the Biker jackets with bottle cap embroidery from the SS04 collection. Kinda gives a great festive look around the Christmas table this season, and great for doing a rambunctious jingle bells jig after a few eggnogs.

If Santa wants to be extra generous this year, I would love this Raf Simons AW03 New Order parka to be under my Xmas tree. I’d dance around the house in it to ‘Bizarre Love Triangle’ while drinking a glass of something fizzy and eating plenty of gorgeous picky bits.

For my Christmas wish list there’s only one thing I need and that is the iconic Cartier Tank watch! It’s gotta be vintage – nothing brand new. Specially something like this one with a black strap; black strap specifically to suit my style as I often wear all black as if I’m attending a funeral – I’m not a goth though, just to mention. Gothic and biblically-coded, this exceptional archive piece would have me looking like the star atop the fir tree after a few too many mulled wines.

I would like to receive this necklace from a Ukrainian brand Gunia Project for New Year. However, the best present would be Russia to stop attacking my country and Ukrainian victory; for my loved ones to be able to celebrate Christmas and New Years together with the ones they love instead sitting alone with no electricity due to the war. No materialistic item can compare to the feeling of people, finally, not suffering.

Asking a fashion fanatic to pick their all-time favourite piece of clothing that they’s love to receive for Christmas is a bit like asking a parent which of their children is their favourite. My mind is struck within a budget-less world of Chopova Lowena kilts, archival John Galliano and Vivienne Westwood’s 1985 Mini Crini collection. But, the garment that takes the cake, is Berlin-based label Madomorpho’s custom ballet boots, constructed wholly from used ballet pointe shoes, lined with organza and hand stitched details. With thick blush pink ribbons cascading downwards from the boots, I might not be expecting these under my tree this year, but one day they will belong to my feet!
