Still looking for London Pride plans? You’re in luck. On Saturday, the Southbank Centre’s Riverside Terrace will be home to a free, curated, open-air party celebrating all things queer.
After the success of the Southbank Centre’s first ever outdoor party for Pride last year, co-curators Ryan Lanji (founder of the trailblazing, South Asian event Hungama) and Drew Demetry (founder of the community organisation Nafs Space) come together to create joyous party, Nazar.
Nazar will bring you eclectic Bollywood sounds and Arab anthems, fused with high energy club bangers and live performances, all in effort to support marginalised voices within queer POC communities.
The likes of Aran Cherokee, Aria, DJ Seksu, Kaan and DJ Kizzi will be providing the electric DJ sets throughout. There will also be a range of bold and fearless live acts, such as a cabaret performance from burlesque dancer Deeva D and a captivating dance from Bollywood artists Kaajel Pater and Vinay.
The Nazar Pride party is a celebration of creative queers, looking to amplify underrepresented voices and increase visibility within the South Asian, Middle Eastern and SWANA (South-West Asia, North Africa) communities. The perfect event to add to your Pride to-do list.
You can attend the Nazar Pride party for free, no ticket required, on Saturday, July 1 from 4pm until late at Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road, London SE1 8XX. More information here.
