Tilda Mace

The London-based make-up artist Tilda Mace specialises in prosthetics, SFX and 3D costuming, regularly working with stars like FKA twigs as well as brands like Mowalola and Vivienne Westwood.

Micro Brow Pencil by NYX Professional Makeup This is my drugstore product. It’s vegan and comes in an ashy brown colour. I’m obsessed with the thin applicators. Almost every product on the market has an application pencil with a tip that is just too thick, so you can’t be super precise. The NYX one is the thinnest I can find. It’s perfect for eyebrow hairs, lip liner, freckles and even very precise nose contouring.

Mothership I: Subliminal and VI Midnight Sun by Pat McGrath Labs These are my favourite eyeshadow palettes. The nudes are perfect and matte and you can wet them down to a velvet texture for a liner for lips/eyes and brows.

Colorfix by Danessa Myricks Beauty This is my favourite for everything because you could literally put it on on a Friday, go to three raves and then go swimming in the sea and it wouldn’t move. Best thing for eye waterline.

Brushes by MyKitCo They are a must. For me it’s about the tools, not just the paint. I couldn’t do the precise line work I do with FKA twigs if it wasn’t for MyKitCo!

Demi Half Lash Curler by MAC Cosmetics They are the best curlers on the market. Would never go back. I like to curl just the very edges of the lashes to give a swooped cat-eye effect, so these are perfect for letting me do that.

Airbrush machine by Iwata I’m obsessed with it! You can use it for make-up textures, body paint, to spray prosthetics. It’s so good for any sort of transformation because you can layer and mix colours and then once they’re dry go over them with other textures. You can re-wet the surface to work into it again. It’s just perfect for experimentation and freedom of artistic expression.

Original Nipple Balm by Dr. Lipp Any sort of balm. It’s my secret for my glams.

Hollywood Glow Glide Face Architect Highlighter by Charlotte Tilbury It’s amazing because it’s not glittery but it has shimmer in it so when you apply it with your finger it looks just water on the skin.

Multi-Use Lip + Cheek Cream Stick in Muse by Milk Makeup – I use it everywhere. Especially around Halloween when I want to be looking berry-stained and flushed!

Lastly, tweezers by Tweezerman. I like to pinch together my lashes to create an anime lash. I love that it opens up the eye.

Silky Blush Rose Ambré by Rose Hermès My favourite blush because the colour is just sublime.

Classic Face Paint in Bright Pink by Snazaroo My favourite face paint. Highly pigmented, water-based and cruelty-free.

Holographic Lip Gloss by Glossier The sexiest way to amp up a look, it’s cruelty-free lip gloss infused with holographic glitter.

Tattoo Liner in Trooper Black by KVD Beauty Essential and ethical kit. It’s perfect for sharp wings and bold lines that stay. C.E.O. Glow Vitamin C and Turmeric Face Oil by Sunday Riley The perfect base to begin a look. It brightens, nourishes and leaves skin looking radiant, all while being cruelty-free. Replenishing Rich Moisturiser by Simple Clean beauty. Simple has curated a list of 2,000 chemicals that are used in make-up products and they strictly do not use them. It’s so soothing, works on all skin types, and is a staple in my kit.

Diamond Bomb All-Over Diamond Veil by Fenty Beauty by Rihanna So hot, so sexy. The best vegan highlighter.

Rebel Lash Coloured Mascara in Babein’ Blue by Barry M The best coloured mascara. It’s vegan, cruelty-free and sustainable. The packaging is all made of PCR plastic – post- consumer recycled plastic – with 20 percent of all net profits from its Wildlife collection going toward conservation wildlife charities.

Lid Lustre (Midnight) by Victoria Beckham Victoria Beckham Beauty holds ‘The V-Standard’, which is clean ingredients, responsible sourcing, and sustainably minded design. You can still create luxe looks while saving the planet.

Scottish make-up artist Lynsey Alexander, now the global creative make-up artist for Prada Beauty, boasts decades of experience and widespread renown. She’s worked with top brands like Dior and JW Anderson as well as renowned photographers Willy Vanderperre and Alasdair McLellan.

Universal Lip Care by Prada Beauty Can’t live without it. Maximum moisture with no shine, making it perfect for men and women, and ideal for under lipstick.

Elixir Ultime Hair Oil L’Huile Originale Refillable by Kérastase Brilliant for adding moisture and shine to my hair.

Skin Cream By Egyptian Magic An organic, skin-friendly vaseline. I use it in every single shoot I do to bring moisture and lustre to the skin.

Face and Body Foundation by MAC Studio This is for models’ arms and legs on shoots. The more perfect I can make the skin in real life means minimum retouching in post.

Skin Food by Weleda Urgent repair that works for ultra dry or sore skin.

Thomas de Kluyver

London-based make-up artist Thomas de Kluyver is one of the most respected creatives in the contemporary beauty industry. His boundary-breaking approach led to his appointment as global colour and make-up artist for Gucci in 2019, where he has continued to leave his innovative stamp on the house’s global campaigns and runway shows.

Blush de Beauté by Gucci Beauty These can be used on the eyes and cheeks, so are super versatile. I love all the colours and often mix them to create my perfect shade.

Rouge à Lèvres Mat Lipstick by Gucci Beauty I find most matte lipsticks can be very dry but this one is smooth and gives a velvety matte finish that lasts for hours. One of my kit staples!

Brush J142 by Hakuhodo These are my go-to brushes, I have
about 10 of them in my brush belt. I use them for eyeshadow, blending foundation or concealer and even for the lips.

Skin Cream by Egyptian Magic I love this as a highlighter or mixed with pigments to create a glossy/dewy look.

Liquid Lipstick Matte (Marriage) by Byredo It’s so hard to find a good dark red but this is it and it lasts for hours. So chic.

Everything Eye Patches by Dr Barbara Sturm My backstage secret to keeping models looking fresh during Fashion Week. Sensibio Cleansing Micellar Water by Bioderma The ultimate make-up remover that is great with all skin types, even ultra-sensitive.

Lip Balm By Nuxe I love this one because it’s super matte but still provides hydration.

Hydrate Facial Moisturizer by Obagi A rich but not too shiny moisturiser; it’s fragrance-free, so works for all skin types

Eyeshadow By Mitsuyoshi This is a Japanese kabuki and theatre make-up brand but they have the most amazing and unique colours I haven’t been able to find anywhere else.

Isamaya Ffrench

British make-up artist Isamaya Ffrench has led the beauty industry for more than a decade. Founding her brand in 2022, she’s collaborated with stars like Rihanna, Madonna and Bella Hadid, consulted for Tom Ford and Saint Laurent and served as Burberry’s Global Beauty Director from 2020 to 2022.

Skin Food by Weleda The ultimate skin protector, there’s nothing that feels as indulgent and at a decent price.

Flawless Nightly Serum by Dr Sam’s It contains azelaic acid, which in my opinion is the holy grail of skin ingredients. It supercharges your skin. Dr Sam’s no-fuss approach to skincare, along with her superior knowledge, is a no-brainer.

Face Cream Day Intensive Anti-Ageing by Gezeiten Sometimes you just want to have something that feels very luxurious and I love Gezeiten. Its Instagram page has the same effect as visiting a shrine in Japan.

Edge Lash Control Kit by Isamaya x Lashify Most days, I leave the house with moisturiser, SPF, my Edge Lashes and nothing else on my face.

Hypnotic Hues Nourishing Lip Tint by Dr Emi One of the very rare tinted lip products that contains SPF, which I think is important and overlooked – this has a beautiful glossy tint.

Clear Wellness Balancing Liquid by Sekkisei I discovered Sekkisei recently and I love the textures of their products: light oil and hydrating water all in one.

Make-up Remover Pad by Face Halo I’ve been using the same ones for years. I wash them, don’t worry.

Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Rich Barrier Moisturizer by Peter Thomas Roth I’ve just never felt a cream that had this texture before. I’m loving the hyaluronic water barrier it creates and the way it smooths my skin.

Skinlacq Glow Serum by Isamaya Beauty The only highlighter you need for an all-over healthy glow. Its triple hyaluronic acid complex means it’s keeping your face hydrated and your make-up elastic.

Lazy Girl Hair Cleanse Cloths by Hair By Sam McKnight Who can be bothered to wash their hair more than once a week, honestly? Sam’s wipes are a lifesaver.

Doniella Davy

American make-up artist Doniella Davy is best known for her work on HBO’s teen drama Euphoria and in 2022 she collaborated with film production company A24 to co-found the brand Half Magic Beauty.

Glitterpuck Pressed Fairy Dust by Half Magic This is an ultra-luxurious pressed glitter that’s my best-selling product.

Lip Snuggle High Pigment Oil-Balm by Half Magic A daily lip product that combines the hydration of a lip oil/balm with the high-pigment coverage and deviation of a long-wear liquid lipstick. It’s like super comfy shape-wear, but for your lips.

Deluxe Bronzing Mousse by Loving Tan My skin has olive undertones and this tanner is just the right golden-brown shade for me, as it looks identical to how my skin naturally tans. I’m new to self-tanning and I love that this mousse apples with a tint so you can see how well you’re applying it. The tint does not reflect the final tan, though; that will not be as a deep as the tint! Medium and dark shades both works n me.

xPress/On Artificial Nails by OPI I’m new to doing my own press-ons and I tried these and loved how the nail’s flexibility felt like a gel manicure, rather than being rock hard. They looked and felt super realistic, like I wasn’t wearing press-ons, which I loved, especially as someone who works so much with my hands.

Eyelash Curler By Shiseido This curler is the tried and true winner for transforming short, downward pointing lashes to the kind of super-lifted, upward-facing lashes you didn’t know you were capable of.

Cocoa & Vanilla by Native Deodorant This is the only natural deodorant that has ever worked for me. It’s always in my work bag for a midday freshening-up moment.

Triclone Skin Tech Concealer Brush by Haus Labs by Lady Gaga I love the thumb-like size, slanted shape and soft texture of this brush for under-eye concealer, and also for sculpting out a cheek contour. Aesthetically, I love the silver chrome finish of the brushes and love having them in both my personal make- up bag and my pro make-up kit.

Rose Glow + Get it Cooling and Brightening Eye Balm by Tula Skincare This has become a little ritual for me before I do my make-up. I look forward to putting this under my eyes every single day, because it truly is cooling, but not in a menthol-y way. It adds a soft pearlescent glow under my eyes and also adds hydration without being greasy, so concealer lays beautifully on top of it.

Color + Clenditioner (Pink) by Keracolor I have bleached hair and every few months I dye it some shade of pink depending on my mood. And when I say dye it, I mean I lather my hair up in the pink Clenditioner in the shower and come out with light pink hair!

Miracle Leave-in Product by It’s a 10 I’ve gone through bottles of this stuff for the past 15 years, ever since I started bleaching. I have long hair and this detangles it beautifully. my hands. I’m a big fan of heatless curls and waves a la TikTok sock techniques and I’ll spritz my hair with this to slightly dampen it beforehand.

Triclone Skin Tech Foundation by Haus Labs by Lady Gaga The formula is so easily buildable and it is truly flawless. The shade range is incredible and the texture is a skin-like finish.

Turn Up The Base Blurring Foundation by One/Size If you’re looking for a more matte full coverage buy the new One/Size matte foundations. The way it looks like skin while giving full coverage had me shocked. I carry the entire line in my kit.

Rouge Allure Laque Lip Colour by Chanel Beauty The range of shades is beautiful and includes some exciting colours I haven’t seen in other brands. I also love their new creative [direction] for the brand, it feels exciting and editorial yet still beautiful.

Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara by Maybelline New York I’ve been working with the brand and doing their campaigns for the last year, so I test and try every product they make. They truly know how to make affordable make-up of next-level quality. Their mascaras are some of the best I have tried and my clients agree. Get the Sky High or Lash Sensational firework, waterproof and regular.

Blush & Protect SPF 50+ (January/June) by ciele Everything they make has 50 SPF but is non-comedogenic, meaning it won’t clog pores and won’t break you out. Anything with SPF breaks me out except for this brand. I am so in love with the colours as well and use them on the lips for a wash of colour.

Lip Pencil in Stone/Greige by MAC Cosmetics Everyone who sits in my chair has their own preference [of MAC product] and I luckily have them all in my kit. I personally love Stone and the new shade of Greige.

Beauty Hydrascape Moisturizing Reverse by Emulsion Make I have been travelling so much lately for work and have been loving this combo for my dry skin, especially after a 15-hour flight. They’re both affordable and usually last me a few months. Works beautifully under make-up as well.

OS-01 Eye Topical Supplement by OneSkin This entire brand has incredible peptides in them and I highly recommend all of the products. They make cute travel sizes, too.

SurrealSkin Soft Blur Setting Powder by Makeup By Mario It blurs, sets and helps make-up last. I have never used a product that works so well. It’s great for both light make-up and a full beat. Touch-ups are minima with this powder and there is absolutely no flashback.

Hydrascape Moisturizing Reverse Emulsion by Make Beauty If you’re looking for more of a sheen and foil like metallic eyeshadow, I urge you to run to Make Beauty. They glide on effortlessly and give a glossy look without using gloss. I have a full set in each kit and also a few for myself.

Lauren Reynolds

Based in Paris and London, Lauren Reynolds boasts an impressive client list, including Gucci, Off-White, Nike and Valentino. She also serves as the personal make-up artist to Charli XCX.

Blue Tansy Invisible Pores Resurfacing Clarity Mask by Herbivore As a make-up artist I need products that are going to work right now, and this resurfaces skin in a few minutes while I pluck brows or scrub lips. It leaves skin really even, glowing and smooth and makes my life so much easier when it comes to doing a base.

Sleepy Body Lotion by Lush Everyone loves this when I use it. It smells like sweet creamy lavender, is deeply nourishing and has a lovely glow. I put it in my hair, too.

Stylo À Sourcils Waterproof Eyebrow Pencil 05 by Gucci Beauty The most realistic taupe grey brow pencil that works for blondes, East Asian skin tones and pale goths with black hair. It’s nice as a cool-toned lipliner shade, too. I use the whole line on everyone.

Éclat De Beauté Effet Lumière Multi-Use Gel Face Gloss by Gucci Beauty I didn’t think a general use gloss at this price point would be necessary when there’s so many good options around, but this is so shiny, yet light and not at all sticky.

Makeout Club Lipstick by Freck Beauty Every client says how nice these lipsticks are. The colours are so modern and the blurry texture is beautiful: they remind me of Korean lipsticks. Shy Hottie and Main Character are my favourite shades.

Lip Pencil – Greige by MAC Cosmetics The perfect neutral brown-grey lipliner. It feels like MAC is going back to its roots, which I love. I prefer traditional lipliners to long-lasting creamy formulas to work with, as they wear off nicer and are easier to fix on set.

The Barrier Cream by Herbar I use this when clients have been gunning the retinol or acids too hard and have sensitised their skin. It actively repairs the skin barrier and make-up sits well on top of it, as it’s not greasy like a lot of repair creams.

Glass Powder by Rodial It’s super blurring and I always use it under the eyes and around the nose to flatten texture. It’s like a skin filter.

The Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Stick by Merit It’s just beautiful, with creamy, lightweight and accurate colours across the range. It feels like a modern version of a very traditional format and is perfect if you want selective coverage.

Fat Lip Oil Drip (Brown) by NYX Professional Makeup Beautiful and translucent dark cool brown that suits everybody and actually hydrates like a balm. I wear this during the day.

Colorfix Mattes Blackout by Danessa Myricks Beauty I love this long-lasting formula because it’s multipurpose. It’s great as eyeliner but you can use on lips and face as well.

Voluminous Mascara Carbon Black by L’Oréal Paris It’s my favourite drugstore mascara for its rich, deep-black pigment. It’s so easy to create a bold and defined look without any clumps.

Invisimatte Instant Setting + Blotting Powder by Fenty Beauty by Rihanna I love its lightweight formula. Perfect if you don’t like heavy skin make-up but still want to set and mattify the skin.

Studio Fix Conceal and Correct Palette by MAC Cosmetics I love the range of shades of this palette. It’s a must in my kit. It’s perfect to correct and conceal any concerns like dark spots, blemishes and discoloration.

Pro Brow Definer 1mm-Tip Brow Pencil by MAC Cosmetics It’s the thinnest eyebrow pencil in the market. It’s not too creamy but it still glides easily. I love how precise it is.

Master Pigment Pro Pencil by Makeup By Mario It’s one of the most long-lasting pencils that I’ve tried. It’s also perfect for waterline application. Has a super rich pigment and it glides on smoothly.

Baume Essentiel by Chanel Beauty I love a multi-use product. This glow stick provides a natural, dewy radiance to the skin. But it can also be used for eyes and lips.

Vitamin-Infused Cream Blush by Tata Harper What I like the most about this blush is that it has a sheer, blendable colour that can be layered for more intensity.

Dior Forever Skin Correct by Dior Beauty I love the high coverage it provides without feeling heavy on the skin.

Synchro Skin Radiant Lifting Foundation by Shiseido It’s one of my favourite foundations. I love that it’s lightweight, hydrating and buildable
