Ports 1961 creative director Natasa Cagalj made her catwalk debut after a couple of seasons presenting quietly in the company’s showroom. A London trained Central Saint Martins graduate, she made a splash with a sleek sense of the minimal, keyed to Ports’ identity as a go-to label for chic separates and a natty bit of tailoring. The zinging pops of colour – hot pink, tart lemon yellow, contrasted with subdued earth-tones, burgundy and black and white – was mouth watering. Our mouths were watering. But it is getting late in Milan and these delicious clothes made us realize we need a bit of a delicious dinner to keep going before the Philipp Plein extravaganza to close the eve.
