The Jury Is Out: These Are Your 2022 LVMH Prize Finalists

Eight emerging talents have been selected as the finalists of the 2022 LVMH prize following the semi-final showrooms and presentations that took during Paris Fashion Week at the beginning of March. The eight were selected by a panel of industry experts and a public vote from a pool of 20 semi-finalists, which became 19 after Maximilian’s pulled out of the prize before his title as creative director at Salvatore Ferragamo was announced.

The eight finalists encompass a dynamic range of global influences: with Ashlyn from South Korea, ERL and Winnie New York both from the USA, Ryunosukeokazaki from Japan and Tokyo James from Nigeria. Not forgetting talent closer to home, such as Irish designer Roisin Pierce and UK natives S.S. Daley and KNWLS

Later this year, the finalists will present their collections at the Louis Vuitton Foundation to the LVMH Jury, who will determine the winners of the LVMH prize and the Karl Lagerfeld Prize. If the prize’s past winners are anything to go by – Marine Serre, Grace Wales Bonner and Nensi Dojaka, included – you’re looking at fashion’s next big star.
