I like to call Joseph the people’s fashion, because it really is stuff anyone can wear and, more importantly, things people really would want to wear. For SS18 they offered us what I’m calling “soft core leather fetishist”, AKA leather lovers rejoice because Joseph has your hot weather wardrobe ready. Jackets, dresses, trousers, tops – you name it – were offered in soft-as-butter leather, in a lovely palate of nudes and pastels in shapes that floated just off the body – a perfect way to keep cool in the warmer months.
They say opposites attract because if it wasn’t leather it was sheer wispy and barely-there with a hint of uniform dressing in the sense that everything was monochrome (minus one look), and had pockets that could hold all your bits whether you are actually wearing them for practical reason or strictly for fashion purposes. Either’s good.
