Travel was where the House of Louis Vuitton began. Their iconic trunks, luggage and leather goods came first, and fashion came later, and the brand continues to explore the art of style and travel, and the relationship they share. With every season they whisk us off to somewhere new, and for Pre-Fall 18 we are off to the sunny climbs of California. Brand muse and academy award winner Emma Stone makes her campaign debut for the French house. Shot by Craig Mcdean, Emma is pictured strolling the hills /desert/ great outdoors of Cali, and making it look so effortless, handbag tucked under her arm and all. I’d like to imagine this is what I would also wear while trekking the great outdoors. A fab billowy sleeved dress and thigh high leather boots, obviously very practical, to protect your skin from those pesky spiky plants. As a Canadian I grew up forced to participate in health-giving outdoor activities, so after a certain age I have refused to do anything that involves being ‘outdoors’, but I’ll consider getting back into it, if it means wearing head to toe Vuitton.
