What a score! To celebrate its long-standing collaboration with Manchester City FC, Dsquared2 has just released an exclusive capsule collection and its a sportswear hat-trick. Having dressed the City players and their manager, Pep Guardiola, in punchy, pre-match uniforms for the past seven years, founders Dean and Dan Caten have clear cause for celebration.
The drop features a variety of ready-to-wear garments and accessories decorated with the team’s name alongside Dsquared2’s own logo. A variety of sweaters, beanies, bomber jackets and shirts – pulling from key Dsquared2 design signatures such as denim outerwear and relaxed silhouettes – feature details such as a ship, diagonal stripes and Man’ City’s circular crest. The words “Dsquared2 for Manchester City Limited Edit” are printed on a slew of the garments, including the back of a black tailored jacket and a comfy crewneck knit. The capsule also includes a pair of black, lace-up boots and shoes, which also have City’s crest printed on the sole. Not to mention, a special hangtag and internal label were created for the collection too, printed with the same collaboration tagline that’s been printed on the garments.
Accompanied by a fierce campaign lensed by Christian Oita, some of the club’s biggest stars sport the capsule with their game faces on. Striker Erling Haaland, midfielder Phil Foden and centre-back Aymeric Laporte are just some of the players in frame.
With Dsquared2 stating on its Instagram that the capsule represents a “captivating celebration of style and victory”, it goes without saying that this assortment is a top scorer.
