Disney and Make-A-Wish Launch Create 100 Auction

After unveiling the project in July of this year, Disney’s Create 100 has just launched, celebrating the multinational’s 100th anniversary by championing creativity as well as raising money for charity Make-A-Wish. Celebrating its unmatched presence in worldwide storytelling by donating a whopping $1 million to the non-profit – which grants life-changing wishes for critically ill children – the filmmaking conglomerate is also hosting an auction chok-a-bloc with fashion-focused treasures.

International audiences will have the chance to bid on items such as Beyoncé’s Marine Serre catsuit from Black is King, an archive Mickey Mouse sweatshirt by Marc Jacobs and a Disney Varsity Jacket by Tommy Hilfiger between October 12 and 30. Alongside these enchanted creations, head honchos from Marvel (Pierpaolo Piccioli has turned the hulk Valentino pink), Walt Disney Animation, Pixar and Lightstorm Entertainment have donated pieces or experiences to celebrate the unforgettable legacy of each studio. A piece paying homage to the late, great Virgil Abloh is also on offer: a sculpture of the Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey created by Abloh’s design firm, Alaska Alaska.

This new venture is just another notable milestone for Disney and Make-A-Wish, who have been granting wishes together for over 40 years, creating memorable experiences for more than 150,000 children. Prick your nostalgia and explore what wonderful bits are on offer here.
