Burberry has got a new aroma. Adding to its range of Burberry Signatures – a fragrance collection that plays on the British heritage at the heart of the London-based brand – with three fresh Extreme Botanicals scents. Paying appropriate homage to England’s green and pleasant land, this sub collection takes inspiration from flowers that can thrive despite existing in some of nature’s most arduous environments.
The three new additions – Ash Flowers, Snow Blossom and Oud Storm – were all developed using upcycled ingredients ranging from Cistus Neobsolute to patchouli and aged wood, celebrating their namesake’s inherent charm. For any occasion, each scent encapsulates a range of alluring qualities – the Ash Flower is hopeful, balanced and powerful, the Oud Storm is vigourous, resilient and authoritative and the Snow Blossom is bold, spirited and harmonious.
The perfumes are also intended to celebrate distinct incidences of a flower’s subtle yet ardent strength. Ash Flowers represents the victory of nature over darkness, inspired by the rosebay willowherb’s ability to grow out of ash following a natural disaster. Oud Storm emulates the yellow whitlow grass and its capacity to withstand a rain-ravaged, cliff-front environment. Subsequently, purple saxifrage and its ability to bloom despite the snow that blankets it’s native cliffs of Binevenagh, Ireland, is the inspiration for Snow Blossom, the final scent in the collection.
Each fragrance is presented with the elegance and artistry with which Burberry approaches all of its designs. And as such, the range arrives packaged in a sleek glass bottle, its construction drawing directly on the house’s staple design language, with the lid even being made from the same material used on the buttons of the iconic Burberry trench coat. The bottle also is dressed by a leather knot in a familiar and classic shade of brown.
