A signature scent is a bit like falling in love: you think you’ve found “the one”, you invest the time and attention and hopefully have a long and lovely relationship, where you’ll both live happily ever after. Well, that’s the dream. But maybe one day you wake up and realise it’s “just not working”, you’re “no longer excited”, or maybe you’ve just “both outgrown each other”. And thus the search starts again… Or maybe you are one of those people who carry on two fragrance relationships at the same time: you for day and you for evening and so on…
Whichever kind of person you are, that “signature” scent is a personal thing. I do not have a signature at the moment. I used to be a committed Comme des Garcons Wonderwood fan, but found myself reaching for it less and less, and once the bottle was done I have no desire to buy it again for reasons I’m not 100% sure about. So now I’m on the hunt for a new signature, the scent that will hopefully define my mid-20s and touch the noses of those close to me forever. So join me on my search for my new signature scent. *dramatic theme music starts to play*. This, fragrance fans is the start of my signature fragrance journey…
