Bottega Veneta: Ready-To-Wear AW19

Wham bam! And just like that a new era Bottega Veneta begins. Daniel Lee presented his first co-ed catwalk show for the brand with a rare kind of confidence. It started with a square neck black leather dress worn with brown quilted mini mouse shoes and a black square-quilted bag. Then came biker trousers, enveloping leather duvet coats and scoop neck knits, the décolleté lined with heavy gold chains. Add no-nonsense tractor soled bovver boots and the new Bottega tough girl look was complete. For men the story was similar – lots of black leather, loose suiting and trousers tucked into menacing boots. Bottega’s awesome craftsmanship was plain to see on woven leather coats and bags, but the luxury vibe was not that of the hedge fund wife – more monied emo. The tills will trill for those bags and boots. This felt young, urban, and fiercely now – black leather duster coats and all.
