Max Mara Looks To Female Architects For Latest Coat Collection

Max Mara looked to female architects to shape the structural integrity of its AW26 collection, The Architecture of a Coat. Exploring the connection between fashion and architecture, the offering is built on innovative, richly textured fabrics, from tactile tweed to brushed cashmere, resulting in a wide array of constructed outerwear. Elevated classics are designed to perfectly align with modern life. Pops of bois de rose, gold and Klein blue pepper a palette grounded by toasted brown, brick red and ebony. Looking to visionary architects Gae Aulenti, Eileen Gray, Cini Boeri, Florence Knoll and Sophie Hicks, the brand drew inspiration from the women’s precise and considered approach to design. Reflecting that same ethos, Max Mara continues to observe how women’s lives evolve, creating garments like those in this collection that move with them and offer a sense of shelter while balancing elegance with functionality.
