Marking the fifth chapter of the Pasticcino Bag World Tour, this edition, coined Italian Roots, highlights Italian artisans. The project, which each season highlights traditional crafts from a different corner of the globe, this southern European leg represents a significant homecoming, with the bag itself taking inspiration from Italy’s long history of intricate, luxurious design. Featuring six special-edition releases, the purses in Italian Roots are considered, beautiful and an ode to craftsmanship perfected across the decades.
Crafted from top-of-the-line domestic fabrics sourced from the historic Fondazione Arte della Seta Lisio mill in Florence, the fabrics reflect famous Italian architecture, nodding to the ornate facades and columns that populate Tuscan palazzos and monuments. By pairing these geometric jacquard prints with softer, painterly tones, these fresh editions are daring, while maintaining a refined, Italian taste. In a final flourish, marble from the haute couture marble atelier, Budri, with cerulean-streaked, rose-veined and golden-specked details, forms the stone clasps atop each pouch.
