Footwear Finds: Jimmy Choo x Noir Kei Ninomiya

Flats or heels, flats or heel? The dilemma is over – and you’ve got Jimmy Choo to thank. The unique capsule collaboration between the house’s creative director, Sandra Choi, with Noir Kei Ninomiya, brings a dynamic and unexpected hybrid seamlessly blending the two footwear poles.

Take the Maxi Loafer, for example: a first glance of the front of the shoe would give the illusion of a traditional loafer, with its traditional saddle strap, moccasin toe stitching and voluminous sole. The surprise is in the back, where the masculine sole turns into a delicate Jimmy Choo Drop heel.

Elsewhere, the Star Shoe design gives a sparkly twist to the hyper-classic pointed Oxford, embellished with five-pointed steel stars – a Jimmy Choo emblem and a motif that is repeats throughout the collection in a variation of the Star shoe, as well as the Harness and a Nappa backpack.

The final shoe design, the Crystal Shoe, brings together the Star and Maxi silhouettes, with the heel of a men’s Oxford seemingly ‘x-rayed’ in plexi to encapsulate an elegant drop heel. Individually applied pavé crystals decorate the internal heel and escape the plexi to add a glittery finish to the leather heel counter.

First presented as part of the SS26 Noir Kei Ninomiya Paris Fashion Week show, these shimmering fusions of opposites are now available through select retailers and a curation of global Jimmy Choo and Dover Street Market boutiques. Shop the collab online here.
