The 2025 LOEWE Foundation Craft Prize
The Loewe Foundation Craft Prize, established in 2016, celebrates excellence, innovation and artistic merit in contemporary craft. The 2025 edition showcases 30 shortlisted artists from 18 countries, selected from over 4,600 submissions. Their works span ceramics, jewellery, textiles, woodwork, glass, metal, furniture, paper-craft and lacquer, reflecting both traditional techniques and groundbreaking innovation. The finalists’ creations will be exhibited at Madrid’s Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum from May 30 to June 29. Envisioned by Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson, the prize honours the house’s craft heritage while shaping the future of the field. AB
Little Simz Set To Curate Southbank Centre’s Meltdown Festival
Southbank Centre has announced Little Simz as the curator of the 30th edition of its renowned contemporary music festival, Meltdown, taking place from June 12-22. Joining a prestigious list of past curators, Little Simz will craft a groundbreaking lineup as well as performing herself. That said, the festival will feature unique performances, two weekends of free participatory programming and collaborations with grassroots collectives, transforming the Southbank Centre into an inclusive cultural hub.

Along for the Ride – Michael Rider to make Celine Debut
It’s official. Michael Rider will make his highly anticipated debut as Celine’s new artistic director with a runway show in Paris on July 6 at 2:30pm local time. Slotted between Men’s Fashion Week (June 24-29) and Couture Week (July 7-11), the show signals Celine’s return to a traditional runway format after Hedi Slimane’s cinematic presentations. While the collection details remain under wraps, expect a mix of menswear and womenswear, reflecting the former creative director of Polo Ralph Lauren’s legacy and his recent return to the house where he once worked alongside Phoebe Philo.
