Dolce & Gabbana: Menswear AW25

What’s a red carpet without a mob of paparazzi? We might be in Milano but Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana had their sights set on star-studded glamour of the Hollywood kind for their AW25 men’s collection. Flanked by a squad of handsomely dressed paps, this season’s cast – including 10 Men cover star Kit Butler and Leon Dame – sauntered in front of a twinkling backdrop of flashing bulbs. Their looks were inspired by the on-and-off duty outfits of past and present cinema icons, with the design duo name-checking Federico Fellini’s La Dolce Vita (1960) as a starting inspiration.

Setting out to “tell the story of the actors’ lifestyle from dawn to dusk,” casual elegance was met with glamorous tailoring of a bygone era. For the daytime, the emphasis was on oversized, faux fur outerwear. Think supersized parkas with exaggerated hoods, fuzzy pea coats and cosy bombers. They came layered over swollen knits and cargos cut with slouch, with tweed baker boy hats completing the look. Smartening up, the show transitioned into a parade of sartorial classics reimagined, including a waistcoat that fell into a silk scarf at the hem and wide-lapelled tux jackets adorned with brooches inspired by the ‘40s. Whatever the occasion, a wardrobe full of these excellent looks will leave you feeling like a movie star.
