Welcome to the debut 10+ jewellery supplement where we celebrate the fantasy of high jewellery, a world where impossible beauty is crafted and created. Our inaugural cover stars the ethereal Mame Anta Wade, pictured in N05 necklace and earrings by Chanel High Jewellery – shot by Antoine and Charlie and styled by Sophia Neophitou.
What can you expect from inside? Our editor, Claudia Croft, pens the 10+ jewellery testimony:
Stones have an energy, which inspires a creative response. Our aim? To create images that reflect the power and the glory of the world’s most exquisite jewels. The charisma of rare stones thrill on these pages. This spectacular metier is rich with fascinating stories and strong personalities. When craft, tradition and vision combine in the jewellery world, magical things happen. Throw in a serious sense of style and it gets very interesting indeed. Delfina Delettrez Fendi is the embodiment of a dazzling, modern spirit, sweeping through the jewellery space. She knows the rules of luxury, having lived by them all her life, but she also knows how modern women wear jewellery – with ease, and on their own terms. “We buy our own pieces, and we wear high jewellery in the day,” says the designer who showcases Fendi Triptych, her debut high jewellery collection for the house her great-grandmother founded in 1925. Time is relative in jewellery. A diamond takes billions of years to form in the earth or three weeks to make in the lab but the emotions we invest in last a lifetime and are as valuable as any carat count. Jewellery is personal and one piece can have many lives, as a visit to Milan’s vintage jewellery mecca, Pennisi, reveals. Mrs Prada and A$AP Rocky shop there for heirloom pieces. That’s the appeal of jewellery. Nothing is set in stone. Old can become new, it just depends on how you wear it.
10+ Issue 6 includes a 200-page magazine, three A0 posters, and dedicated jewellery and beauty supplements.
