THE SS23 CARHARTT WIP X AWAKE NY COLLAB

Channelling Dsquared2’s demin-based DNA and signature jersey silhouettes alongside an unexpected twist – that being the likeable blue cartoon characters – its all made under the environmentally responsible One Life One Planet Dsquared2 line. Hoodies and tees amalgamate the iconic Smurfs characters with distinctive Dsquared2 motifs such as the maple leaf and the One Life One Planet label in punchy yellow and red prints. SHUSHU/TONG’S AW23 COLLECTION – ‘THE BACKROOMS’ 

Shushu/Tong is bringing the unknown into fashion with its AW23 collection named, The Backrooms. As a concept, The Backrooms originated from a post on an online forum in 2019, where netizens exchanged randomly captured spooky photos of somewhat familiar empty spaces that felt like alien rooms entered from the real world by mistake. Inspired by these Backrooms, Shushu/Tong’s collection conjures a dark visage of the everyday. The collection revolves around the aestheticism of uniform; the tailoring has been restrained to provide clean lines and simple geometric structures to create a uniform with a more spiritual and dynamic feel in an atmosphere of suspenseful storytelling. NATASHA ZINKO’S NEW SOHO STORE 

Ukrainian designer, queen of the boxes and sustainable savant – Natasha Zinko is entering into a new brand chapter with a utilitarian WRHS13 flagship shop in the centre of Soho, the beating heart of London cool. Enlivened by knurled metal flooring, industrial storage equipment and upcycled cardboard boxes that literally line the walls, the space is located on Brewer Street and acts as a platform for emerging designers and creatives to not only stock their summer wardrobes, but to network too. At the NatashkinoLtd Matcha Café – adapted from its original Selfridges setup – you can grab a cuppa’ and chat up fellow innovators.

THE COMME DES GARÇONS HOMME PLUS X NIKE TERMINATOR HIGH

This isn’t Comme des Garçons Homme Plus‘s first rodeo when it comes to collaborating with Nike. Now, the menswear line is plastering its signature CBG logo onto the heels of Nike’s iconic Terminator High trainer. Coming in a variety of colour-wheel options, the Terminator High made its initial debut in 1985 as a special edition sneaker made for the Georgetown Hoyas basketball program, but in 2023 the Japanese label gives the old-school high-top a suitably timeless update.
