Growing up as a fashion-obsessed kid, there’s really only one programme to watch on TV. Project Runway, of course. And now, it’s back for its 17th season (not counting All Stars) with a whole new cast of fashion judges. VS mega-babe, Karlie Kloss has been confirmed as the newest host of the Emmy-award wining design fashion show. And not only is she the new face of the show, but Karlie has also been named executive producer on the show. Go, Karlie, Go! But it doesn’t stop there. CFDA and Project Runway Alumn, designer Christian Siriano, is joining the illustrious team of mentors including Elle editor in-chief Nina Garcia, former Teen Vogue Editor-in-chief Elaine Welteroth and NYC-based designer Brandon Maxwell.
Since the new season isn’t premiering until 2019, we’ll take this time to rewatch the seasons before and brace ourselves for 12-inch weave gowns and corsets made from brillo pads coming our way. But even through all the unconventional madness, the high-quality entertainment of reality TV shines through. Although it’s hard to say our last Auf Wiedersehen to Heidi Klum, but we’re pretty sure Karlie is penning down her own catchphrase as we type. This is a make-it-work moment we’ve been looking out for.
Project Runway Season 17 is premiering in 2019 on Bravo TV.
