With all extravaganzas, it takes a vision, a lot of time and a big team of dedicated aids working around the clock and tending to every meticulous detail. For Dior’s SS19 show, Maria Grazia Chiuri had a performance piece in mind. Harping back to the archival relations of Monsieur Dior and the world of dance, the show celebrated the great women of dance. A glorious 6000 square-metre-set took two weeks to build and consisted of 200 kilos of flower petals. Never short to impress, Dior paved the way for more complex and innovative set designs in the future. Brava!
