The new normal is pre-fall images coming out as the clothes hit shops, and Calvin Klein is another that has joined this strategy, shall we call it that? Coats and knits are full focus but that’s what Raf does best, no? Utilitarian continues from the past seasons but is mixed with a bit more of a cozy vibe, the quilt that has linked runway and jeans is now a knit jumper obvi over sized, once again a classic Raf signature. Slinky slip dresses under massive coats feel a bit like you’ve run to the shop to pick something up but not bothered to get full fully dressed. But the stand out? A slip with lace but made of leather. Opposites attractive they say. Mr Simons loves to twist a classic and make it a bit more sinister. But we will let the clothes speak for themselves and they are shouting: “Buy us.” Lucky there is no wait, as it’s hitting shop floors very soon.
