The Alexander McQueen Documentary Trailer Is Here

Spine chilling drama is always best served in the form of Alexander McQueen. His dark, twisted passionate fantasies have always filled us with adrenaline, sorrow and thrill. Even just 33 seconds of it. Yes, the trailer for the Ian Bonhôte and Peter Ettedgui directed and produced documentary about Mr McQueen is here in all it’s intensity and fabulousness. “Legend, genius, provocateur”, it states. Duh. The sound of shrill staccato piano chords, static skulls, behind the scenes footage and Spring/ Summer 1999 show moments. Oh it’s going to be good. Big booms, a suspenseful lead up to the simple truth: “No one discovered Alexander McQueen, McQueen discovered himself.” Correct. The synopsis describes McQueen as, “one of the most iconic artists of the century… provoking and subverting the fashion industry in ways that often caused controversy and scandal.” And you know we love a scandal. The film premieres at the Tribeca Film Festival this weekend and will debut at London’s Picturehouse Central on June 8. Looks like Ten Towers hitting up Tribeca this weekend.
