Which is exactly why Ferraro Rosati founded DROMe in 2008, with daughter Marianna Rosati at the design helm- to explore the versatility and desirability of this luxurious material beyond the reserve of accessories and biker jackets, and create a full leather ready to wear offering. For SS17 Marianna demonstrated her unparalleled skill by ruching, pleating, and draping her way through a collection that played on contradictions. Buttery soft leather in sugary pink, putty, pistachio and chocolate colours was used on long line jackets, chic wide leg trousers and delicately ruched bandeaus, to delicious effect. This romantic vision was juxtaposed with strong shouldered tailoring and futuristic metallic looks that lent an exaggerated strength to the silhouettes. If this is leather beyond the biker, we are officially ready to upgrade. Private jet jacket anyone?
