Erdem harked back to the golden age of glamour this season, to the heyday of Bette Davies, even opening with a soundtrack of one of her many monologues from All About Eve. Set against a backdrop of a faded mansion with crystal chandeliers draped with chiffon, stray columns, silk fringed lamp shades and abandoned boudoir seats. Sheer black chiffon was flocked with silver velvet shot through with gold and seamed with dark crimson, catching the light as it moved. Panels of lace and embroidered chiffon were sewn together in geometric panels and worn with pale leather opera gloves.
