Chinese New Year. Yer, it’s celebrated by a sixth of the world’s population and what not, but we’re seeing it as a second chance for all that new year, new you schtick. And a second chance to fail it all again in approximately four days when you are drinking booze/smoking/eating a donut/shagging your ex-boyfriend. Now, this year is the year of the monkey, or for those really in the know, the year of the fire monkey, which to me sounds like a joyful 365 days, but alas, it’s actually the most unlucky on the calendar. Oh. But it’s not all bad – such fabulous “year of the monkeys” include Diana Ross, Kim Cattrall and Christina Aguilera. What a line up.
