Presenting to you Irina Shayk, stripped – bar a nice pair of Givenchy jeans, a man between her thighs and a slither of leather laid across her breasts for modesty. Normal proceedings here at Ten Towers. Because as everyone from to Brooke Shields to Miss Moss knows, the only accessory that a good pair of jeans needs is, well, nothing at all (bar possibly an artfully crossed arm). So forget leather and lace, this is all about denim and skin. Human skin. Not in a Buffalo Bill type of way – the skin that remains attached to your body will do. Anyway, the campaign has been released to celebrate the proper relaunch of Givenchy denim (the first since 2006), where for autumn Riccardo Tisci presents it as a “head-to-toe look… still inspired by the 1990s and denim in American culture.” It’s “quite sexy in a feminine way,” they say, “but it’s workwear allure is nevertheless masculine”. So, boys and girls of the Givenchy persuasion, look no further for your downtime wear. Tighter than your Dereon jeans.
