WALTER VAN BEIRENDONCK: PARIS A/W 2013
This year marks thirty years in the business of designing fantastical men’s creations for Walter – quite amazing. As well as his designs we’re also a fan of his casting – sometimes Daddies, sometimes twinks, but always lots of muscles. I always feel that he taps into essential human desires for his collections – sex, privacy, freakishness. The Walter man is strong, proud and very colorful.
This collection was no different, with the jealous younger gay brother of a fabulous Miu Miu sister. A sort of Macauley Culkin in Party Monster. Who’s only has a few of mom’s fabric scraps (old 80 scatter cushions) and christmas decorations to create a patchwork of glamor for a party tonight. Break hetro-normality! Buy Walter.
