Vivienne Westwood, Andreas Kronthaler and Juergen Teller go together like bacon and eggs, you can have one without the other but they are much better together. Viv and Juergen have been collaborating since the nineties so it really isn’t a surprise that the trio are releasing a book together to gather together all of the incredible images they have created over the years. To celebrate the book, Westwood is turning their six story NYC flagship store into an exhibition during NYFW featuring a mix of pivotal campaigns, portraits & muses, political satire, editorials and art projects from the past twenty years of their working relationship. Mixed in with the photographs are archive looks and set pieces, further adding to the incredible experience this exhibition will clearly be.
Vivienne, on working with Mr Teller, said: “Juergen’s got something very rare, he’s got really good taste, and more than anything that makes him good at his work. Juergen somehow always manages to get the picture, he gets to the route of the matter every time when he takes a photograph.” If you cant make it to the big apple to take in the exhibition yourself not to worry – the book is 258 pages of pure fashion magic.
“Vivienne Westwood, Andreas Kronthaler & Juergen Teller” runs from September – November 2017 at the Vivienne Westwood flagship at 14 E. 55th Street. New York 10022.
