The Otherworldly Wardrobe Of Björk’s Cornucopia

No other artist brings fashion and music together more creatively than Björk. For her recent Cornucopia tour, the singer worked with her team to build a wardrobe of highly expressive, avant-garde pieces.

Gracing the cover of 10 Magazine Issue 74 wearing Noir Kei Ninomiya, we spotlight the otherworldly  wardrobe of Björk’s Cornucopia tour. These images, extracted from the tour’s accompanying book, celebrate the boundary-pushing stage outfits of one of music’s brightest forward-thinkers, who is photographed by Santiago Filipe and styled by Edda Gudmundsdottir wearing avant-garde pieces by the likes of Loewe, Gucci and Zomer.

In this extract from the accompanying book, she explains her unique approach.

“For the Cornucopia tour, I was deeply inspired by the idea of a fully-immersive experience, spending a spring in an Icelandic lighthouse, spreading Utopia into fully surround speakers. My intention was to bring what we had created for 21st-century VR into a 19th-century theatre – taking it from the headset to the stage. Throughout this tale, there is a subplot woven in: a second story of an avatar – a modern marionette who alchemically mutates, from puppet to puppet, from the injury of a heart wound to a fully healed state. I hope you enjoy it.”
