Ten Rounds Up The Cannes 2017 Red Carpet

“Where does this Cannes carpet lead? I feel like it’s just a red carpet and then everyone falls into a hole and then it recycles into another carpet,” said Chrissy Teigen, as if it’s a bad thing. We’re all for a never-ending red carpet here at Ten HQ. We live and die by a look. So we picked ten of them, ten lovely ladies, hand-selected from this year’s Cannes 2017 Film Festival and its XL red carpet. And where better to begin than with Pamela Anderson? That slicked back hair and ruched Vivienne Westwood number? Chic chic chic, go. Next – Julianne Moore, who proves what we’ve always said – you can never go wrong with a sequin, particularly when said sequin is stitched on to a Louis Vuitton gown. She’s like a slithery sexy snake. Miuccia Prada. Yes, as in the lady, not her designs. Although here she does happen to be in her designs, and in Cannes, we’re not sure why she is, but either way we’re obsessed. Kristen Stewart does casual. Can it be called casual if it’s Chanel? Dunno, but let’s make it clear we are all for the appearance of a boob tube on the red carpet. And so to Nicole Kidman, who pretty much looked like the best dressed woman ever at any of the 10,000 red carpet appearances she made, but here excelled as a Calvin Klein cupcake. We’re eating it up. Her two-time Cannes co-star Elle Fanning also served up many a look, so many we picked two. Is that allowed? Enjoy Elle doing ethereal glam in Gucci and modern-day milk maid in Alexander McQueen. Shes a “moo”vie star after all (sorry). Marion Cottillard got an A+ in Armani Privé and Rihanna does no wrong, ever. She wears fashion – it doesn’t wear her. Even in a classic white Dior ballgown she still looked – for want of a better word – effing cool. It’s those sunglasses. Lara Stone proved birds of the Balmain feather flock together, and look damn good doing so. If that was confusing (it was) she’s wearing Balmain and it has feathers on it. There we go. Ten lovely ladies. Hopefully we get invited next year cause the fomo’s been real.
