Flesh Queer Festival makes a triumphant debut

North London’s first queer camping festival, Flesh, took place this weekend, showing real promise of becoming one of the city’s most exciting summer staples.. Situated in Springfield Farm, near St. Albans, the intimate two-dayer saw the likes of LSDXOXO, VTSS and Chippy Nonstop play across two stages, joined alongside Adonis resident DJs Hannah Holland and Shay Malt. With rising rent costs and luxury flat constructions forcing clubs across the capital to close, queer nightlight in London is constantly under threat. To have an event specifically for the LGBTQIA+ community – with a line-up made predominantly of trans, women and non-binary artists – now on the annual festival calendar, the biggest events on the circuit should be looking to the likes of Flesh to make our summers of partying more inclusive for all.
