Sportmax’s Resort 2027 collection is an exploration of structure and ease. Commanding in its silhouettes but airy in its fabrication, each piece is cut to hang off the body with lightweight ease. Built for swanning around a balmy climate, the collection is accompanied by a campaign backdropped by a brutalist Italian villa. An apt choice, the architectural construction of the garments is echoed by the compound’s curved concrete lines, whilst shades of lemon, tangerine and crisp white cut through the images with a sharp vibrancy.
Breathable cotton voile, light organza and airy viscose make for versatile pieces designed to transition from day to night, and from the city to the poolside. Billowing trousers add a captivating dynamism, and pieces sporting the brand’s seasonal token print – a Japanese brushstroke stripe – are an option for stylish sun chasers who wish to stand out. Translucency is a running theme across the fabrics, designed to catch the sun’s soft, warming rays as the Sportmax woman glides along the beach, or sips a Hugo Spritz at a beachside bar.
Sarong style pieces are accented by leather and viscose fringing, adding further flair, whilst silver and gold spheres bubble around necklines as chunky statement accessories.
