Being of the (live) animal loving persuasion and not regularly exposed to Siberian climes, fake fur is really the only type we’re interested in. London based Hannah Weiland launched the Shrimps brand in 2013 to cater for a customer that wanted guilt-free fun in their fashion, with a focus on outerwear. It’s a mark of her great success that Shrimps have expanded into Ready To Wear and accessories, which led us to their London Fashion Week Presentation. Little House on the Prairie by way of the 18th Century French Court- The Shrimps girl loves a cultural mash up. Pitchforked marching girls adorned Quaker style looks, layered over with the brand’s trademark faux fur delights. Edward Wadsworth’s maritime influence (surely himself, a natural Shrimp fan) dressed the room with bejewelled shells co-ordinating with the soft creamy colour palette. Like a prawn cocktail. Yum.
