FROM THE VAULT (SUMMER 2011)
It seems that budget cuts are moving from the backstage to the front stage. Electricity bills are not being paid. When it happened the first time we thought maybe a fuse had gone. When it happened a second and a third time, all at different shows, it seemed a little too much like just a coincidence. The only other reason we can think of for shows taking place in pitch dark is the clothes are so horrendous they daren’t risk showing them. But then we’ve yet to see any scorchers on the re-see rounds. All it could be is drastic cuts. If this is the case, may we make just one suggestion? Next time, put the show on during the day. At least then there’ll be a chance we might see something. And not set ourselves on fire with the candles.
